Customer Review: wow
I bought this tv at sears after months of consideration, i work there so i looked at them almost every day, i finally got it for a good price and i havent looked back since! The xbox 360 looks amazing and i watched sin city on it last night omg its amazing. I ordered some hdmi cables on amazon i cant wait to see the improvement, it is all ready great.
Customer Review: question.....
I'm noticing while brighter background colors are displayed, and the subject is darker I'm receiving faint gray horizontal lines on the brighter background. It doesn't matter what device the image is coming from, upconvert dvd player, cable reciever, or xbox 360. Its less noticeable on the HD cable signals. Has anyone else discovered this or is this just an isolated case?

Customer Review: Money well spent
I did not buy the TV from (or through) Amazon.com. Instead I purchased it from another West Coast retailer, because back in February, 2008 it was cheaper.
In 5 months since I bought it the only problem I'd had was a single flickering pixel close to the middle of the screen, and it was visible only in 1080p "Just Scan" mode. After two visits from a Samsung technician, the central logic board was replaced, and that issue does not happen anymore. For settings, I am using slightly modified CNET recommendations. Picture quality is just perfect in HD mode and very good in SD. Even VGA input from my HTPC looks fine at 1920X1080 resolution. I wish the TV had 4 HDMI inputs like this year Samsung models, and that is the only complaint so far. Otherwise, I see no improvement in the picture quality comparing it with 2009 58" models. Pretty sure that the super-high contrast ratio all new plasma models claim is just that - claims
And, since nowadays the cost of this TV dropped to below $[...] (I paid way more) - I wish I waited a bit. On the other hand, I've thoroughly enjoyed this plasma for some time now. LCD TVs picture quality is not even close, especially for movie watching.
Customer Review: 58" 1080p for less than $2,500
There is still a somewhat limited market for plasmas larger than 50"; basically you have Panasonic, Pioneer, LG, Samsung, then maybe a Vizio or a Hitachi, depending on model year.
I compared the 58" 1080p versions from Panasonic and Samsung against the 60" from LG and Pioneer. The color, contrast, moving images, and contouring on this Samsung was obviously better than the LG, about the same as the Panasonic, and maybe a little less color intensity than the Pioneer.
THE difference with Samsung comes down to price. A very comparable picture with the Panasonic for $300 - $500 less on Amazon or other sites, and over $1,500 less than the 60" 1080p Pioneer, which was still over $4,000 as of May 2008. If you can see $1,500 of difference from the Pioneer to the Samsung, then God Bless ya' and you should opt for the Pioneer. 98% of us can not see a $1,500 difference from the Pioneer, and that's what the Samsung came down to for me. I couldn't notice a single difference from the Panasonic picture side-by-side in Circuit City, and the Samsung was even $400 less than the Panny. Everything else between the two was basically even, so the $400 lower price on Amazon pushed me to the Samsung.
Features are pretty darn close on most of these models, so the option this Samsung had that 2 others did not was PIP. Not having PIP isn't a deal breaker for most people, but it's pretty darn nice to have since each side-by-side picture is the equivalent of over a 30" TV sitting there.
In conclusion, the SD and HD pictures on the Samsung were just too equal to the Panny and the Pioneer, and it costs much less with the same warranty. If you can find a better 58" plasma picture for less than the $2,500 I paid for the Samsung, the calendar will say 2009 or beyond by the time you find one.

Multiple amplifiers may also be cascaded for system expansion. Includes AC adapter. Dimensions: 4 3/4" H x 8 3/8" W x 1" D.
Customer Review: Does what it should
I purchased this product for home use so that I can send the same HDTV or DVD signal to three different HDTVs and/or projectors. It works great so far. During the playoffs (and upcoming big game), I was able to show the game(s) on three large screens around my home for my friends to enjoy. Instead of everyone crowding around one good screen, people can spread out. This will also come in handy having friends over for movie nights. As long as you are content with Component cable hook-ups, this would be a very good investment.
The one negative I can see is that the audio distribution is stereo only. It is not a hindrance for me, as I have my receiver handling the distribution of the audio, but if you want to distribute digital audio through this, you need to look for something else.

Samsung Touch Of Color 24" T240HD LCD HDTV Monitor

Samsung T240HD LCD TV Artistry isn't something that can be measured. At SAMSUNG, we believe that artistry is the result of a delicate balance between high-end design and cutting-edge technology. We're inspired by the world around us and want to create products that are both functional and exude beauty. Introducing the T240HD from SAMSUNG. Beautiful, inside and out.
Customer Review: Excellent TV, not a monitor
I purchased the T240HD for usage as a computer monitor because of a long history with Samsung monitors being absolutely top notch. Unfortunately this product while being pitched as a monitor, makes a great TV but not a great monitor.
The resolution is very good (1920x1200) and it's very attractive and stylish.
There is no vertical height adjustment (typical for a TV but important to have in a monitor). Your desk / monitor stand had better be at just the right height. The edge is highly reflective and creates bad glare around the picture in a work environment. The adjustments are typical TV adjustments but not monitor adjustments (there is no horizontal or vertical position adjustment).
I've used Samsung monitors for many years and recommend them to my clients. When I finally purchased a HDTV I bought a 46" Samsung which is excellent. The T240HD makes a great HDTV but I regret purchasing it as a computer monitor.
Customer Review: Give it six stars!
So there is no mistake, this review is for the Samsung T240HD. It appears that others are posting reviews here for some other product because there are no cons to this HDTV/Monitor. I read the specs posted by Samgung before I purchased the T240HD and was impressed. I already own a 52" 1080p HDTV so to compare the T240HD, it is a fabulous 1080p HDTV and a spectacular computer monitor. It handles all inputs perfectly. I have a Playstation 3, a PC, and digital cable (no cable box) hooked to it. All modes are clear, sharp and bright. The remote is full featured and it handles Blu-Ray as expected. I paid $479.99 after shopping and watching the net.
Why would anyone want to wall mount a 24" TV?
For the 500 buck range, nobody else comes close in quality and features.

It's easy and affordable to add high-definition entertainment to your home with the Samsung LN19A331 HDTV.
Customer Review: Very good choice for small room
This is a very good budget LCD TV for use in a kitchen, dorm room, small bedroom. 720p resolution is perfectly fine for a TV in this size (19"). The colors and picture look great with a bit of calibration (I found the default settings to be a bit too bright). There were enough A/V connections for me, although the audio from the built-in speakers is only adequate at best (but what else can one expect from a built-in audio system?). There are other models, both from Samsung and others, with more bells and whistles, but if you're looking for a good basic small LCD TV, this one is definitely worth considering.
Customer Review: Good little TV update
We bought this tv for the kitchen. We use it with Rabbit Ears and it works very well. The HD picture is excellent. Non HD are not very good. Audio is OK. Over all a good TV if you need one of this size. I suspect they may be a little over priced.
Update: We have had this TV for almost 2 months and like it better all the time. Picture quality actually is excellent on all over the air digital and HD, We only use it with attic antenna or rabbit ears. Audio is actually very good. It is built sturdy and yet very easy to move around form kitchen to patio. We could not be more satisfied with this little TV !

Customer Review: Reasonable card, not-so-reasonable drivers.
Reasonable hardware, not-so-reasonable drivers.
Just so it is all clear, this is a ATSC receiving card, which is the US way of spelling DVB, losing some features in the process.
Also, this is a BUDGET card (as used in DVB's jargon), which stands for, no video/audio decompression is performed on the card itself. All goes to the CPU. This, however, is the way Windows Media Center likes cards to be.
Finally, this card has no CI, pardon, CableCard slot. This does mean that you will not be able to receive value-added (conditional access) channels not even if you request your cable/sat company for a CA module.
This card performs to satisfaction in Windows Media Center (tried Vista, not XP), even with all its drivers problems (see below), so it is a good bet for that.
Drivers are BDA but of very poor quality! Apart from the card's own software and MCE, all other BDA-aware software I tried crashed on start, even DirectX SDK sample/test application! If you try it using SDK's GraphEdit, you'll also notice that a graph cannot be stopped and restarted - it has to be torn down and recreated, otherwise Aver filters will also crash.
Customer Review: Works right out of the box.
The card was very easy to install. Integrates nicely with MCE 2005.

Customer Review: Just what I was looking for....
I have an heirloom quality solid cherry TV armoire which is said to fit 36" crt tvs. There is no way I'm getting rid of the armoire. The 36" was a Toshiba. Next was a 37" 1080i, also Toshiba. When the 40" Regza came out, I saw that it was just enough to fit in the cabinet what with the thin frame. Every inch makes a difference. I am very pleased that I have been able to fit the maximum size screen into the armoire. Viewing height was also improved because the thinner speaker outlets allowed for installation closer (lower) to ideal viewing height. I actually floated the TV inside the armoire via a series of brackets and mounting boards which I rigged up, thus getting rid of the stand that comes with it. Viewing is eye level seated so no craning of the neck looking upwards!
Admittedly, the primary reason was aesthetics and fit but I did see it demonstrated at the store and also relied on the Toshiba reputation and past experience. I am extremely pleased with picture quality. I only use it to watch DVDs and it is a perfect match as part of a high end 5.1 system. Watching BluRays is pleasing.
I'm not good at TV technical specs but I like what I see. I love it. My friends love it.
Customer Review: Incredible!
I love it. If there is a flaw I haven't found it yet. I have not used all of its options so far, but right out of the box the picture was incredible, even on non-digital channels. I bought the monster 1000hd high speed hdmi, and I highly recommend that for this tv. Also, I found the overall height to be slightly smaller than stated, which is a good thing for me, as it fits perfectly in my tv armoire. I have it in a 13 x 17 room and the speakers are more than adequate, although I increased the bass a bit. I admit I spent more than I wanted to, but I had space restrictions that this accomodated. However after seeing it in action, I have no regrets. I LOVE IT!

Customer Review: Excellent Picture Quality--Excellent Features
I purchased the Sony 40" XBR5 in April of 2008. I use an upscaling DVD player and also have my PC connected to the XBR. I hope to soon attach a new 80 gig PS3 to the system. All I can say is the whole package is superb! I have sampled most of the features including the motion enhancers--everything works as advertised. And, of course, the picture quality is second to none. Finally, I cannot detect any fan noise from the XBR. I recommend this unit to anyone desiring the highest quality LCD display.
Customer Review: HDTV
I find the set has great color, a good sound system and an easy to use menu and remote control.
